I’m Sarah—illustrator, storyteller, and passionate creative.

Over the years, I’ve gathered many experiences that have shaped my creative journey. But let’s start at the beginning:

Yes, I loved drawing as a child—but don’t worry, this isn’t one of those “I always had a pencil in my hand” stories. In fact, I didn’t know back then that creativity could become a career. So I chose something more “sensible” and studied architecture and interior design.

After earning my degree as a Diplom-Ingenieurin, I felt the pull toward a more creative path. Instead of designing sterile office buildings, I discovered my passion for production design. While working in set decoration for film and television, I realized how much joy I found in drawing, conceptualizing, and creating.

In the fall of 2015, I took a leap and began studying Digital Games at the Cologne Game Lab (TH Köln), specializing in Game Arts. Since completing my bachelor’s degree in 2019, I’ve been pursuing new creative challenges with full energy—always with the goal of bringing stories to life through illustration.

My creative goal

My goal is to bring stories to life through illustration and to make content tangible and accessible. I love diving deep into new topics—whether it's biology, geography, or unfamiliar cultures—because thorough research and a solid understanding of context are essential to my process. My style remains flexible, and I enjoy exploring new visual approaches to tailor each project in a unique and cohesive way. I embrace challenges and am always eager to take on new tasks, even in areas I haven’t yet explored.
